Indian BPOs have been successful in making its mark in global industry. This however has not made them speak to French clients in their native language. This may be one of the reasons that Indian BPOs have started establishing centers in East Europe. Here the outsourcing market is picking up faster. BPO giants such as Genpact, Wipro & Progeon are setting up centers in Romania, Poland & Budapest. Genpact already had a center in Hungary and is now interested in opening a shop in Romania.

The CEO of Genpact, Pramod Bhasin said that the demographics & economics of these countries are such that it is not possible to have big centers.

Bhasin also believes that Indians may be good at speaking English but they are not good at other foreign languages such as French, Spanish & German. He also added that natural fluency might be a difficult goal to achieve even through proper training.

Hence, this has made it necessary to have a presence in Europe.
